Rachel Koller Croft Time Stamp: 5:04

Stone Cold Fox is the thrilling and darkly funny tale of the ultimate social climber on the run from her past. Kirkus calls it “an absorbing story that plays with ideas of good and evil, keeping readers guessing who is the hero and who the villain.”

Hannah Larrew Time Stamp: 47:08

From Hannah’s blog post “Pitch Perfect: Crafting a Meaningful Book Pitch,” we take the following tips:

  • When crafting a pitch, start by doing a word purge, where you get all your ideas on the page, then cull from there to isolate your most important takeaways.
  • Try to get across the tone of the book, and the personality of yourself as the writer, in how you pitch it.
  • Have fun with this process! If you create a pitch that’s fun for you to talk and write about, it’ll be more engaging for the person hearing or reading it.
