About the Author:
Reita Pendry is the author of five novels. She was born in the mountains of North Carolina and raised in Charlotte.
Before Reita became a novelist, she was an attorney. Having graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, she practiced law in Washington, D.C. and North Carolina and for most of her legal career, she practiced criminal defense.
Reita now lives and works in Charlotte, North Carolina. She divides her time between writing and working for homeless animals. She spends a fair amount of time helping homeless cats. She love dogs, too, but she started trapping and vetting homeless cats in her neighborhood in D.C. and when she came back to Charlotte, she found Friends of Feral Felines and have been affiliated with them ever since. Reita usually writes with two or three of her cats lolling on her desk, which means the keyboard is in her lap.
When Reita first started writing novels, she held out for hope of success gauged by sales, book events, and recognition. She no longer wishes for huge sales and other trappings of fame. She simply strives to be recognized as a solid story teller and she’s done just that, with novels that speak for themselves.
