Gail Martin Takes Readers on an Epic and Urban Fantasy Ride in Her Books that Go Bump in the Day and Night

In this episode 130, we visit with Gail Martin, a prolific author of epic fantasy, urban fantasy and steampunk genres, among others, and we visit four of her strange worlds.

Gail has always loved ghost stories, vampires, werewolves, haunted houses and things that go bump in the night. Her books have necromancers, powerful witches and spirit mediums, plenty of vengeful ghosts, creepy castles, curses, magic and monsters. That’s what she loves to read, and what she really enjoys writing.

We get a glimpse into four books in four different series: “Wasteland Marshalls (Book 1),” “The Joe Mack Shadow Council Files (Cauldron, Book 1),” “Spells, Salt and Steel (Night Moves, Book 5)” and “Assassin’s Honor (Assassins of Landria, Book 1).”

Gail starts the show with a reading from “Wasteland Marshalls,” a story where the last two US Marshals mete out rough justice in a near-future, post-apocalyptic world. Think ‘Boondock Saints meets The Walking Dead’.
