Jeanne Adams and Nancy Northcott Serve Up Inter-Stellar Science Fiction Conflict in “Christmas on Outcast Station”

In this episode 125, we visit with award-winning authors Jeanne Adams and Nancy Northcott, authors of many books, including their companion novellas in the book “Christmas on Outcast Station,” one of the science fiction books in the Outcast Station series.

Jeanne and Nancy team up with Jeanne’s novella, “The Princess Problem,” and Nancy’s novella, “Scorpions for Christmas,” both set on Outcast Station, a backwater posting and the armpit of the Terran colonies in outer space.

This book is the second in the Outcast Station series. It is set in a world where careers go to die and where Chief Station Marshall Brad Carruthers has problems top side protecting a young princess about to be crowned Queen and where Federated Colonies Deputy Marshall Hank Tremaine has his hands full on the planet below with a murder of a Drachan scorpiod and the theft of a relic that could lead to an inter-stellar conflict.

About Author Jeanne Adams

Jeanne Adams writes award-winning romantic suspense, fantasy/paranormal, Urban Fantasy and space adventure that’s been compared to Jack McDevitt and Robert Heinlein. She also knows all about getting rid of the bodies.

Both traditionally and indie published, Jeanne has been featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Jeanne has loved stories since she was a little girl. Her father was a librarian and her mother was an English teacher, so she’s been a reader and writer from the time she could talk. She wanted to create the same kind of magic on the page that she had so loved growing up, and still do love.

Jeanne published her first novel with her New York publisher, Kensington/Zebra Suspense in 2008 and worked with them for three subsequent books. She concurrently began publishing independently via Amazon and other digital platforms.

She teaches highly sought after classes on Body Disposal for Writers and Plotting for Pantzers, as well as How to Write a Fight Scene with her pal Nancy Northcott

About Author Nancy Northcott

Nancy Northcott’s childhood ambition was to grow up and become Wonder Woman.  Around fourth grade, she realized it was too late to acquire Amazon genes, but she still loved comic books, science fiction, fantasy, history, and romance.

A graduate of Davidson College and the UNC School of Law, she mothballed her law license several years ago to become a novelist. Along the way, she has written freelance articles and taught at the college level. Her courses included Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Society, The 1920s, and Landmarks in American Law.  She has also given presentations on the Wars of the Roses and Richard III to university classes studying Shakespeare’s play about that king.

In addition to writing the Outcast Station science fiction series with Jeanne Adams, Nancy is the author of the historical fantasy Boar King’s Honor trilogy, the Arachnid Files romantic suspense series, and the Lethal Webs romantic spy adventures.

Library Journal gave her debut novel, Renegade, a starred review, calling it “genre fiction at its best.” Nancy is a three-time finalist in the Romance Writers of America’s national competition, the Golden Heart. She has won the Maggie, Molly, Put Your Heart in a Book, and Emerald City Opener contests sponsored by RWA chapters, and she has finaled in several others, including the Orange County chapter’s Orange Rose.

Married since 1987, Nancy and her husband have one son, a bossy dog, and a house full of books.
