Amy Williams Brings Adventure and Inspiration with Her Pig of a Friend, Wanda Petunia

In this episode 141, we visit with Amy Williams, author and creator of  “Love catches up with Wanda Petunia” and other books in the Wanda adventure book series.

Wanda Petunia is the imaginary pig friend of Amy Jane Williams, a Charlotte creative, social justice activist and therapist/owner of her own practice Amy Williams Wellness. Wanda came to Amy as an adult to share meaningful stories of inspired teachings on betrayal, hope, true love, soul mates, positive self-talk, loss of loved ones and body healing.

Laurie Helgoe, Ph, psychologist, author of “Introvert Power: Why Your Inner Life is Your Hidden Strength” says that “Wanda is the yearning heart free of defenses. As I flew with her around the world, I felt free too. Wanda captures and gives back everything we forget to be.”

About the Author:

Amy Jane Williams is a Charlotte creative, social justice activist and therapist/owner of her own practice Amy Williams Wellness and the author of Love catches up with Wanda Petunia and other books in the Wanda adventure book series including Wanda Petunia Hearts Love on self-love, I am Wanda… I Color My World with Love – an affirmation coloring book, Wanda Petunia’s Eternal Love – about pet loss, and Good-Bye Eye – about the loss of body parts.  There’s also a Wanda Petunia Passport journal. She also has a podcast called “The Wanda Petunia Love Podcast.”

Amy is an only child, who grew up with a special affection for animals.  Originally, she wanted to be a veterinarian.  But due to her great love of chemistry, she eventually trained as a mental therapist instead.

Amy has been a student of The Artist’s Way, and creativity has been an important healing practice.  When Amy was a young mom of two young boys, the imaginary friend Wanda Petunia appeared in Amy’s imagination.  The first adventure story arrived with wisdom on how to transform hurts in a way that feels genuine.

Through her Wanda’s adventure stories, Amy has shared empowering and inspiring messages with others to help them find self-love and sharing love.

Amy loves making zines, riding her bicycle, recycling, spending time with loved ones, growing plants of all kinds, practicing French and ukulele, and hiking outdoors.  She especially loves sharing Wanda Petunia wisdom.
