Maureen Sherbondy is an award-winning writer and the author of Lucky Brilliant, Dancing with Dali, and many other works of poetry, short stories, and chapbooks She is the recipient of the Hart Crane Memorial Poetry Award, NC Poet Laureate Award, Charlotte Writers’ Club Deane Ritch Lomax Poetry Prize, and the Fiction Southeast Editor’s Prize. She currently teaches at Alamance Community College and lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband, Barry Peters.
