About the Author
Author Jack Grossman is an award-winning advertising, marketing and design expert with an entrepreneurial spirit who has been recognized for his many years of community service work. After he heard the harrowing tale of Charlene Perlmutter Schiff on a visit to the Holocaust Memorial in 2006, he says his life was “forever altered.” He came home and searched for a book about the story and couldn’t find one. He told his wife, “I am going to make sure Charlene’s story is told to the world…whatever it takes.”
When Jack committed to this project in 2006, he didn’t realize it would take twelve years to bring it to fruition. The journey was dotted with events such as the economic meltdown, a near-death stroke, and several other traumatic life experiences. He is a believer in the saying that there is a reason for everything, and he believes that in the end, this book is the culmination of aligning the perfect people at the perfect time.
The award-winning “Child of the Forest” is based on the life story of a courageous young girl who bore witness to humanity’s darkest time. When Jack face challenges now, he simply thinks of Charlene, and it puts his life back into perspective.
