Tim Reinhardt Offers Dramatic Comedy with “Jesus’s Brother James”

In today’s episode number 60, we meet Tim Reinhardt, author of “Jesus’s Brother James.” No, this is not a book about Jesus’s real brother James, but there is a character in the book who is a down-and-out priest who befriends a man who could look the part of Jesus’s Brother James. The priest passes the man off as the Messiah’s brother to another man who has lost the will to live. This leads to a quest by four characters to find meaning in their lives with the help of the mysterious, religious-looking man who speaks only Aramaic.

In addition to reading and discussing the book, Tim discusses his short film work and we listen in to a few scenes from those films.

We start first with Tim reading from a scene with Mike and Father Coady, when Mike is about to take his life.
