Robert Bathurst Narrates Louise Penny, and Introverted Book Marketing

2-Minute Tip: Time Stamp: 31:30

Don’t miss Charlotte Lit co-founder and executive director Paul Reali’s tip about knowing your characters in scenes.

Marketing Tips:

From Jennie Liu’s blog post “The Literary Ecosystem at Work for an Introverted Book Marketer,” we take the following tips:

  • Marketing your book can seem daunting (especially after you spent all that time writing it!), but there are plenty of ways to spread out the work and make it manageable, and also to find the fun in it.
  • Your community–other authors, librarians, teachers, bookstore employees, readers and writers on social media–can be your greatest marketing asset.
  • Pick and choose the marketing tactics that work for you. For instance, you can decide to be active on one social media platform but not others, or approach bloggers about reading your work rather than asking individuals you know to provide reviews.
