About the Author:

Brian Baltosiewich is an Emmy-nominated writer/producer/director, who spent 28 years in broadcast television before developing and launching The Queen City Podcast Network in Charlotte in March of 2018. In his book, “The Podcast Pep Talk,” published in 2016, he says that he came to the realization that podcasting was “the next thing, the next logical step,” and so was his network, a collection of more than two dozen shows produced in the Queen City. Brian’s network includes a variety of shows about comedy, news, food, creativity, health, branding, theater, business, co-working, non-profits, fashion, failure, actors, and more, even authors, as evidenced by the fact that Charlotte Readers Podcast is in the network, too. Queen City Podcast Network is regarded as the first hyper-local podcast network in the country.

Brian has been producing audio content on the internet since 2001, and has produced podcasts for The Sporting News and National Pro Fastpitch professional women’s softball. His book, “The Podcast Pep Talk” has a wealth of information for the would-be podcaster but also reveals some of his own story and his passion for this relatively young medium for communicating ideas to the world. Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, Brian and his wife Terra lived in Tucson, Arizona before moving to Charlotte in 2010.
